FMNA may take your personally identifiable information and make it non-personally identifiable, either by combining it with information about other individuals (aggregating your information with information about other individuals), or by removing characteristics (such as your name) that make the information personally identifiable to you (de-personalizing your information). Given the nature of this information, there are no restrictions under this Privacy Policy upon the right of FMNA to aggregate or de-personalize your personal information, and FMNA may use and/or share with third parties the resulting non-personally identifiable information in any way.

When we employ a Third Party to perform these functions, that Third Party will only be provided with the particular Personal Information, cookies and/or IP addresses it needs to perform their function, and is required to protect such Personal Information, cookies and/or IP addresses. In addition, for third-party sponsored sweepstakes, contests or promotions, FMNA may request Personal Information from you that may be shared with such sponsor(s) upon their request, but we will give you the option to either agree to this use of your Personal Information or cancel your participation in the applicable sweepstakes, contest, or promotion at the time we request such Personal Information. Nonetheless, except as separately permitted by other provisions of this Privacy Policy, these companies are allowed to gather, receive, and use your information only for the purposes described in this paragraph or to facilitate compliance with laws.

At times, when you participate in events on our site that are sponsored or affiliated/associated with a third party, you may be required or requested to agree that the sponsor or business associate may use your personal information (including, in some cases, your e-mail address) in accordance with the sponsor or business associate's privacy practices. If you do consent to the terms of their privacy policy, it will govern their uses of Personal Information.

Disclosure to Others: In addition, FMNA may disclose Personal Information and IP addresses without providing you with a choice under the following limited circumstances to: (1) protect the legal rights, privacy or safety of FMNA, or their subsidiaries, affiliates or their employees, agents and contractors; (2) protect the safety and security of visitors to the Site or other properties; (3) protect against fraud or other illegal activity or for risk management purposes; (4) respond to inquiries or requests from public authorities; (5) permit FMNA to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that FMNA may sustain; (6) enforce our Terms of Use; or (7) comply with the law or legal process.

If FMNA sells all or part of the Site or makes a sale or transfer of assets or is otherwise involved in a merger or business transfer, FMNA may, in its sole discretion, transfer, sell or assign your Personal Information and/or IP address information to a third party as part of or in connection with that transaction. Upon such transfer, the Privacy Policy of the acquiring entity may govern the further use of your Personal Information and/or, IP address information.

5. Opting Out
If you have previously opted in to receive newsletters, promotional messaging or other information FMNA may send, you may unsubscribe at any time by emailing FMNA at:

If you have opted in to receive information or news from third party or licensee mailing lists, you must follow any instructions detailed by such third parties or licensees in their email correspondence to you.

If you ask that we stop using your Personal Information, we will honor that request. However, as stated above, you may not be able to continue using certain features of the Site that require Personal Information, and we will retain records of your Personal Information as needed in order to comply with applicable federal, state, or local law.

6. Third-Party Advertising and Partnerships with Other Sites:
The Site may include third-party advertising. These third parties' online services, websites and advertisers, or the Internet advertising companies that work on their behalf, may use technology to send (or "serve") the advertisements that appear on the Site directly to your computer. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may also use certain technologies to deliver advertisements, collect information about the effectiveness of their advertisements, and to collect anonymous information about your visits to the Site, such as the number of times you have viewed an ad (but not your name, address, or other Personal Information). For more information about these specialized technologies, and how to "opt out" of information collection by these companies, we suggest you visit the privacy policies and terms of use/service for these companies.

Please note that the Site may provide access to other partner experiences that will not follow the same Privacy Policy as the Site. For instance, selecting an interface or other elements on the Site may take you to an entirely different online service controlled and operated by another company. These other services may use our logos or sub-brands as a result of a co-branding agreement; however, these services may use their own methods of collecting data, including Personal Information, and may make use of that data in ways that the Site would not. This Privacy Policy will not apply to Personal Information or any other data collected from or provided by you in connection with such partner experiences or partner services. You should check the partner's applicable privacy policy to determine how that partner will handle such data.

7. Your Choices:
You can use the certain features of the Site without providing any Personal Information, but if you decline to provide Personal Information, you may not be able to use certain services or features.

8. Data Security Disclaimer
We take reasonable security precautions to secure the Personal Information that you choose to provide against the loss, misuse, alteration or unauthorized access of such information. Unfortunately, no transmission of data over the Internet can ever be guaranteed to be completely secure. It may be possible for third parties not under our control to intercept or access transmissions or private communications unlawfully. While we strive to protect your Personal Information, FMNA cannot ensure or warrant the security of any Personal Information you transmit to us. Any such transmission is done at your own risk. If you believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please notify us of the problem by emailing

9. Exclusions
This Privacy Policy shall not apply to any unsolicited information you provide to us on or through the Site ("Unsolicited Submissions"). Please see our Terms of Use for our policies regarding such Unsolicited Submissions. All such Unsolicited Submissions shall be deemed to be non-confidential, and we shall be free to reproduce, use, disclose and distribute such Unsolicited Submissions to others without limitation or attribution.

11. Changes in Privacy Policy
We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. If we amend this Privacy Policy to permit material changes in the way we collect, use, and/or share your personal information, we will notify you of such amendment by sending you an e-mail at the last e-mail address that you provided us, and/or by prominently posting notice of such amendment on the Web sites covered by this Privacy Policy. Any such amendment to this Privacy Policy will be effective thirty (30) calendar days following either our dispatch of an e-mail notice to you or our posting of notice of the changes on the Web sites covered by this Privacy Policy. Please note that, at all times, you are responsible for updating your personal information to provide us your current e-mail address. In the event that the last e-mail address that you have provided us is not valid, or for any other reason is not capable of delivering to you the notice described above, our dispatch of the e-mail containing such notice will nonetheless constitute effective notice of the amendment described in the notice. In any event, an amendment to this Privacy Policy may permit material changes in the way we use and share personal information that you provided us prior to our notification to you of such amendment. If you do not wish to allow such material changes, you must so notify us (in the manner we specify) prior to the effective date of the amendment. If you provide us this notice, we may choose to deactivate your account. Please be advised, however, that, regardless of whether you provide such notice to us, any such amendment to this Privacy Policy will apply to any personal information that you provide us on or after the effective date of such amendment.

12. Mediation
You also agree that, in the event any dispute or claim arises out of or relating to your use of the Site or this Privacy Policy that you and FremantleMedia will attempt in good faith to negotiate a written resolution of the matter directly between the parties. You agree that if the matter remains unresolved for forty-five (45) days after notification (via certified mail or personal delivery) that a dispute exists, all parties shall join in mediation services in Los Angeles, California with a mutually agreed mediator in an attempt to resolve the dispute. Should you file any arbitration claims, or any administrative or legal actions without first having attempted to resolve the matter by mediation, then you agree that you will not be entitled to recover attorneys’ fees, even if you would otherwise be entitled to them.
